Kilimanjaro

Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano located in Tanzania and it’s the highest mountain in Africa. It has three volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira.

Vinson Massif

Vinson Massif, the highest peak in Antarctica and located in the Ellsworth Mountains, has a summit elevation of 4892 meters (15,249 feet). It is named after Carl Vinson, a Congressman from Georgia who served as president pro tempore of the United States Senate during World War II.

Puncak Jaya

Puncak Jaya, or Carstensz Pyramid, is the highest peak in Oceania and Indonesia. It’s also the tallest mountain on Earth that you can climb without technical gear. Nanga Parbat

Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain in the world, with a height of 8,126 meters (26,658 feet). It’s located in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan.

Nanga Parbat was first climbed by Hermann Buhl alone and without supplemental oxygen on July 3rd 1953. He started his ascent on June 30th 1953 from Rupal Base Camp and reached Nanga Parbat summit on July 3rd 1953 at 4:00pm local time (12:00 noon GMT).

Lhotse Mountain

Lhotse is the fourth highest mountain in the world and was first climbed in 1956 by a Swiss team. The mountain is also known as “South Col,” which means it’s located at an altitude of 8,516 meters (26,906 feet).

Makalu is the fifth highest mountain in the world, located in the Mahalangur Himalayas of Nepal. This mountain range is also known as Everest Himalaya Range, and it’s part of Tibet (China).

Makalu has five summits, with only two being considered independent peaks: Kangchungtse and Changtse. These two peaks are connected by a ridge that separates them from each other and from neighboring Chomolungma (Mount Everest).

Pumori Mountain Range

Pumori Mountain Range is located in the Himalayas, which is a mountain range that runs through Nepal and India. The highest peak of this range is Mount Everest at 29,035 feet (8,850 meters).

The Pumori Mountain Range has four peaks: Pumori, Lingtren and Tengboche are all over 21,000 feet (6,400 meters), while Gyachung Kang stands at 18,997 feet (6,600 meters). The highest point is Pumori Peak at 22,493 feet (6,854 meters).

The most challenging part of climbing this mountain would be getting there; it involves trekking for several days through rough terrain with little food or water supply until you reach base camp where all your supplies will be waiting for you after being carried up by porters from Lukla airport!

Shishapangma Mountain Range

The Shishapangma Mountain Range is located in the Tibet Autonomous Region, China. It was first climbed in 1964 by an Austrian expedition led by Kurt Diemberger and Norman Dyhrenfurth. The mountain has been called both “Shisha” and “Sishapangma.”

Shishapangma is a very difficult mountain to climb because of its remoteness and harsh conditions; it has been described as “one of the most dangerous 8,000 meter peaks.”

In addition to being one of the four highest mountains on Earth (the others being Mount Everest, K2 and Kangchenjunga), Shishapangma also holds some records: it has had more deaths than any other 8,000-meter peak; it took longer than any other 8,000-meter peak did before finally being conquered; and no team ever climbed both sides of its north face until 1999 when Italian climbers Achille Compagnoni/Lino Lacedelli accomplished this feat during their successful ascent via this route.
